On Friday, July 21st come spend a day coworking "old school" style, the way the Indy Hall community did before we had any coworking spaces in Philly! We're filling up the tables at National Mechanics for a day of coworking.
You don't even have to be an Indy Hall member to sign up. :) It's all of the best parts of a day of coworking: Get out of the house and some work done. Meet some smart, friendly, creative folks. Share what you're working on, or get help with a problem.
Coworking is free, but to make things easy on our hosts we've organized a $20 lunch buffet that will be available from 1:30pm and throughout the afternoon. Please register to help us plan for capacity!
- Bring your laptop and some work to do. We'll have power and wifi starting at 11am.
- $20 Lunch Buffet is served at at 1:30pm. All you can eat lunch buffet with bottomless soft drinks & coffee! (incl veggie options, menu below). Please purchase ahead of time to help us plan for capacity.
- Happy hour from 5-7pm. Stick around at the end of the workday to celebrate together, or swing by after work if you can't join during the day.
Why are we coworking at National Mechanics?
Back in 2007 there were no dedicated coworking spaces. Indy Hall started as a community of creative people who felt disconnected while working from home, so we decided to start working from anywhere that had wifi and wouldn't kick us out for taking up their tables. One of our favorite spots to work - and play - was the newly opened National Mechanics.
In many ways, Indy Hall was literally born at National Mechanics. Countless business partnerships started there over a meal or a drink. Alex literally signed our first lease while sitting at one of the tables. We've thrown countless parties, and count the National Mechanics crew as a part of our N3rd Street family.
This year, National Mechanics is celebrating its 10 year anniversary so we are teaming up for this "throwback" coworking day. Please join us for some or all of the day!
